Hello all and welcome to my new blog!
My name is Shannon, and I absolutely love to cook and share my recipes with others. Did you know that 50 percent of people find their recipes using social media, and another 40 percent use blogs?! Crazy right, it seems like cookbooks are a thing of the past. I did start a blog (back in the good old college days) and I was pretty good about posting, then life happened! There were numerous moves, new jobs, new adventures and much more. One thing that has remained the same is my passion for cooking. I thought now is the perfect time to restart my passion and try blogging again.
Looking back at my old blog I have to cringe at some of my first posts (granted that was before phone cameras were just as amazing as digital cameras) I did notice that my picture taking skills got better, thank gosh! I did learn and reflect on a few other things from my original blog- good and bad. I would like to take these lessons to help grow this blog!
First off my first blog was pretty full of not the best for you foods. I mean, I was on a college budget so I had to make due (really though they were super delicious.) With all the changes, one of the biggest is my health. I have learned to love the gym, and with that learned to love cooking healthy. I became quite fascinated with the low carb living, so look out for those recipes! Let's be real, I will of course be having some good old comfort food, because we all need that in our lives! Side note- Football season is my favorite season GO COWBOYS and l have a huge family, so that means tons of get togethers, and that comes with great appetizers and dips as well.
Secondly, over the past 5 years kitchen appliances have stepped their game up. No shame in my game, I love them all but especially the insta-pot. There will be a lot of recipes featuring these cool gadgets. My mom is also a Pampered Chef consultant and I can't wait to work with her and highlight her amazing tools.
I am really looking forward to this adventure, and sharing my love and passion with all my readers. I thank you all in advance for your support, and can't wait to see what this adventure will bring. Please feel free to leave a comment with any suggestions, recipe requests or just to say Hi!
